I looked around as they screamed bring that man down He’s never died but he’s heard the sound They chose my fate when I screamed to hell with the state Its kings, priests, and aspirations When the sun swings low you’re a widow What the train pulls slow can’t be furlough ed You’re a fire that’s not been drowned you burn without a sound But you’re a hopeful soul I’ve found Their failing grace has left its trace On the backs of years and generations But their freedom is late and hope can hate The minds who brew discrimination If their minds are safe then they’re all wraiths Who reap the hearts of deliberation And who dares stop the blades that crop The wings of a dangerous revelation

Woman Fine 03:37
We used to talk we sometimes sang toghether We left the candles burning long You kissed my cheek, I kept my hands in pockets You smiled shyly and walked on The things I said, you judged to quick and you misread Let down your hair and be free Your're a woman fine Don't let it plague your mind Come by and try the wine that sweetened over time Though your not mine Bring laughs and laundry to my basement anytime When life it must move on, don't leave me behind One night we walked, I asked for a date you called it off Sometimes I still wonder why Those days are gone, go ahead ask anyone They say you married and moved on If you'd asked me then, even now though years its been I'd say your my sister and my friend

A Feather 04:41
You are a feather in my hat You laughed with me too much to give it back You treated me like a brother you hugged me last And if you wave to me when I’m older I’ll wave back You are a snowflake on my lash You wondered if I would see you but I blinked fast You saw just to late that I loved you you stepped past And if you smile for me when I’m leaving I’ll look back We left shoes in the car and we got wet Swam cold but your hand was in mine then Drove home in the best kind of silence We placed bets on time and the sunset Traced shadows in the sand bank and named them Locked eyes through the screen on your back porch You are the tuft from a thistle the wind has blown You land you grant your wishes then you’ve flown You couldn’t whisper any softer you leave me strong And if you sail over the tree line then you’re gone You are the silence in my breath You are the thunder in my chest You’ll give years of your arms to comfort death And if you ask I’ve kept my promise I held you last

Hurricanes 04:21
Its you who call me down, you shoot me with the sound Its the casual way you speak of casualties The news leaves me alone, to feel the bullets and the holes That fly with our hornets over seas Its my friends that call me tame, among other names While the dragons in my fists are breathing flames While I’m passive I’ve got a door There is a threshold the bed is the floor go ahead shoot your guns and sleep on your furs I’m not calling you a fool but I’ll be praying as rule As you speak of peace and stir the hurricanes I will not act your fool, be your matador or bull Drive swords in the backs of those believing You can vote for hope and change Put a suit up on a stage but the state of man will still be needing If war is the game at hand, you need the aces I understand I’ll settle for less famous kings and queens If you think your day is nice, try rolling mortal dice Place your bets, place your bets on your best friend In protest of my will, you can scale the tallest hill But the mountains of my grief will still be looming And when under heavy fire, is there nothing to admire In fighting for your life and only bleeding
